There are various aspects of this word in the Bible, such as the "Love of God," then there is the "Love of Humanity," such as a brotherhood of expressive kindness toward another human being. There are many forms of "Love," so I simply included all the words listed in the New Testament so you can read them for yourself.


Matt.5

  1. [43] Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
  2. [44] But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
  3. [46] For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?

Matt.6

  1. [5] And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

  4. [13] Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

John.16

  1. [5] And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

  1. [10] Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
